LEHMAN BROTHERS REAL ESTATE PARTNERS AND NEP PARTNERS ACQUIRE SYDSVENSKAN-HUSET IN MALMÖ
London, 7 August 2006 - A joint venture of Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners (“LBREP”) and NEP Partners (“NEP”) today announces the purchase of the company KB Tidningshuset i Malmö from Sydsvenska Dagbladets AB which owns the Sydsvenskan-huset building in Malmö. Sydsvenskan-huset is a landmark 21,000 square meter office building and the headquarters for Sydsvenska Dagbladets AB.
LBREP and NEP commented, “We are delighted to have concluded this investment and look forward to a strong relationship with Sydsvenska Dagbladets AB in the future. This investment is the second investment in the recently established joint venture between LBREP and NEP which purchased Linco Fastighets AB in Sweden (owns approximately 148,000 square meters of office space in greater Stockholm) in January this year. This investment is a natural extension to the Linco investment and will be managed by the same team and the joint venture is in line with the way LBREP is working together with strategic and professional partners like NEP”
Leimdörfer Fastighetsmarknad AB advised Sydsvenska Dagbladets AB on the transaction.
